A scientific plate can look self-contained on the page, but many historical images are the visible end of a much longer chain: travel, observation, collecting, drawing, engraving, financing, printing, selling, and later institutional preservation. Merian and Catesby let ASEU reconstruct much of that chain. Jacquin shows why the chain must sometimes stop where the evidence stops.

R000067 is a parent integration, not a new ASEU research stage. It materializes the current canonical route and parent-participation contracts without declaring ASEU040 complete or expanding the source corpus.
