A bed is not one category
BEDU keeps parts, support, movement, construction, material, and style separate because they answer different questions.
Support system
The layer or system supporting a mattress or sleeping surface. Compatibility remains governed separately by CompatibilityRule.
Mechanism
A transformation or articulation concept such as folding, rolling, converting, lifting, or adjustable movement.
Construction method
A taxonomy reference for how a structure or support may be assembled. BEDU009 does not infer engineering performance from the label.
Material
A broad material classification. Species, alloy, gauge, grade, finish, sustainability, strength, and durability require separate evidence.
Design style
A visual or design-history association. Style is descriptive context, not a compatibility or construction specification.
