Symmetry
Twenty-four natural and designed patterns become a working guide to reflection, rotation, translation, radial organization, spirals and repeat fields. Sources stay visible; ICU diagrams explain the geometry without pretending to be documentary evidence.
Evidence boundary. External sources establish the real pattern/object/organism context. The vector images on this page are original explanatory abstractions, except three already-reviewed BVU visualizations. A diagram can clarify a symmetry operation; it is not a photograph, scan, specimen, measurement or proof that the source has mathematically perfect symmetry.

Why the edges stay clean: every selectable tile size divides the 720 × 360 stage exactly, and motif geometry stays inside an inset radius within each complete cell.

Interpretive vectors
ICU-generated diagrams isolate the geometry. They are labeled explanations, not documentary reproductions or claims of perfect mathematical regularity.

The 24 records ship as structured data with stable motif IDs, symmetry type, transformation, scale, source ID and image-rights ID for future ICU reuse.
