Room Fit Lab v1 compares explicit furniture geometry with a rectangular planning room. It can reason about orthogonal orientation, bounded rectangular keep-out obstacles, explicit placement, and optional visitor-entered clearances. It does not infer building-code compliance, accessibility compliance, delivery access, comfort, or generic bed-form dimensions.

What Room Fit Lab actually proves
- Normalize unitful room, product, obstacle, placement, and optional clearance values to millimeters for calculation.
- Use only explicit
furniture-footprintgeometry; generic bed-form size is never guessed. - For explicit placement, test the physical rectangle and any supplied clearance envelope against room bounds and keep-out rectangles.
- For unplaced geometry, test orthogonal orientations and a deterministic edge-aligned candidate search around obstacle boundaries.
- If that bounded search fails while the room is dimensionally large enough, report conditional / unplaced, not a false proof of impossibility.
