How Size Translator decides
- Resolve the source name using exact canonical-name or alias matching. No substring matching.
- If the name resolves to multiple markets and no source market is supplied, return ambiguous.
- Resolve the original query label independently in the target market for the same-label answer.
- Normalize exact nominal width and length to millimeters for calculation while keeping source-unit values authoritative.
- Rank target-market records by total absolute width + length delta; tie-break by the larger dimension delta, then name.
- Call a result an exact dimensional equivalent only when both width and length match within 0.01 mm.
