Locality claim as stated
Transcribe the claim without upgrading it into verified provenance.
Evidence status
Mark whether the locality/source claim is unverified, seller-stated, institutional-recorded or lab/document supported.
Dimensions / weight when documented
Record measurements only when actually supplied or measured; preserve units.
Treatment disclosure as stated
Record disclosed treatment information without inferring absence or presence.
Media / rights status
Record whether images are yours, licensed, public-domain, external-reference-only or unknown.
Purchase / documentation notes
Preserve dates, invoices, collection notes or chain-of-custody context without storing payment credentials.
Evidence links / report references
Keep source URLs, accession IDs or laboratory report references with the record.
Evidence status
Confidence is documentation status, not a quality score.
Use a status label to describe what supports the claim. None of these labels estimates rarity, price, desirability or future value.
Unverified statement
Record the claim exactly and keep it visibly unverified.
Seller / collector statement
Preserve the named source and date; do not treat the statement as independent verification.
Institutional / collection record
Use accession or institutional documentation within its actual scope.
Laboratory or documentary support
Record the report/reference and the exact determination it makes; do not add an unstated origin, grade or appraisal.

These released routes provide documented specimens, descriptive patterns, geology, fields, history and educational simulations without converting visual resemblance into provenance or value.
Research boundary
Identification evidence governs the notebook.
The collector workspace inherits the BOU010 identification/laboratory boundary rather than creating its own authentication rules.

Provenance notebook
Record claims; do not silently upgrade them.
Seller statements, labels, receipts, field notes and institutional records can all be preserved, but each remains its own evidence class and confidence level.
Notebook rule: write “reported as Yowah by seller” when that is the evidence. Do not rewrite it as “Yowah provenance verified.”
