Direct edge ≠ inferred similarityDirect discovery uses explicit BIU relationship records. Two-step discovery exposes both preserved edges and the intermediate record; it is never rewritten as a new direct historical claim.
Theme ≠ historical taxonomyTheme names and memberships are BIU navigation synthesis derived from stable domains, types, tags, names, summaries, and explicit graph edges. They are not historical taxonomies unless a source separately supports that claim.
Random ≠ recommendationRandom discovery draws only from canonical BIU entity IDs. It is intentionally not ranked, personalized, popularity-based, or optimized for engagement.

Cross-specialist is a route, not a claimCross-specialist discovery is a navigation rule over explicit graph paths and existing specialist memberships, not evidence that the two endpoint records are historically equivalent or directly related.
Beginner next step is curriculum guidanceBeginner where-next prompts point into the preserved BIU012 curriculum. A curriculum recommendation is a learning/navigation suggestion, not a statement that one record is more important than another.
Exclusions stay explainableDiscovery excludes self-loops, duplicate endpoints, and two-step endpoints already available as direct edges. BIU013 does not exclude source-bounded records merely for being qualified or system-rule records; their evidence state stays visible instead.
