Before outreach
Make the offer, price/stake, eligibility, delivery timing, rights position, refund/cancellation path, and capacity cap inspectable.
Venture Universe legacy build · VU-G01-V001-SS01-PL02
Map how a narrow audience encounters the offer and what behavior would count as a real commitment.
Acquisition & commitment
Audience size, likes, and broad traffic do not satisfy the source’s commitment-bearing proof requirement.
| Channel hypothesis | Why it could fit | Small proof | Evidence to retain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Direct invitation | A narrow existing group can react to a concrete offer without paid reach. | Invite a capped, relevant set with identical offer terms. | Reach source, accepts/rejects, objections, delivery workload. |
| Partner / host | A facilitator, club, school, venue, community, or organization may already convene the intended audience. | One host conversation or one capped hosted session. | Host incentives, permissions, revenue split, admin load, repeat request. |
| Owned audience | A newsletter or existing channel can test repeatable discovery without treating followers as customers. | One clearly labeled offer to a defined segment. | Qualified exposures, clicks, commitments, unsubscribes, support. |
| Paid acquisition | Only useful when the offer and tracking are clear enough that spend can answer a decision question. | Defer by default inside the shoestring band until a capped spend has a written learning goal. | Cost per qualified visit/commitment, attribution limits, downstream quality. |
A channel is not “working” if it produces attention that cannot be connected to the defined audience, commitment, delivery quality, workload, or economics.
Make the offer, price/stake, eligibility, delivery timing, rights position, refund/cancellation path, and capacity cap inspectable.
Record how each person found the offer and why they accepted or rejected it. Do not infer demand from aggregate traffic.
Connect acquisition source to workload, service quality, cost, incidents, and repeat intent so a cheap channel cannot hide an expensive customer.
ICU / CONNECTED DISCOVERY
This module intentionally uses the existing recommendation node for legacy source ID VU-G01-V001-SS01-PL02, so every dynamic card is grounded in ICU’s current topic or collection relationships rather than title similarity.
