Scale principle
Zooming out changes the measurement.
USA-NPN land-surface phenology products use vegetation greenness measured by satellite sensors at landscape scales. That representation is useful for regional timing patterns, but it is not the same object as a field observation of one leaf or one tree.
Evidence boundary
A useful model is not automatically a current observation.
VIS-0193 distinguishes direct observation, sourced reference material, historical typical timing, remote-sensing representation, editorial synthesis and prototype interaction. No page in this studio converts one state into another without saying so.
