“Miniature” is a lens, not a taxonomic rank.
This universe compares unusually small adult species across animal groups. It never assumes that a tiny-looking photograph proves adult size, species identity, or a global “smallest” ranking.
Measurement basis matters
Snout–vent length, total length, body length and mass answer different questions. The Scale Explorer displays the basis beside every number.
Representation matters
