Direct reach
A small permissioned list, existing community, event or one-to-one outreach can make refusal reasons easier to capture. Outreach still needs appropriate consent and platform rules.
Venture Universe descendant · focused evidence path
Plan bounded ways to reach a tightly defined audience and separate access to attention from evidence of willingness to commit.
Audience access
The first acquisition plan should make it possible to observe a decision from the intended audience while limiting spend and measurement ambiguity.

Concept-native stories, process notes or a waitlist page can reveal attention and opt-in behavior, but views alone do not prove purchase intent.
If later justified, a capped spend can test audience-message fit. Ad performance remains channel evidence, not venture proof, and should respect the $0–$1,000 planning boundary.
Measurement chain
Avoid a funnel where the easiest metric becomes the success metric.
Did the intended segment actually see and understand the concrete offer?
Did they ask a material question, compare, return, or engage with price/delivery details?
Did they take the pre-defined action that carries enough friction to matter?
What did the commitment cost in time, money, support and exceptions?

Each route advances a different decision dependency; none substitutes for real-world customer evidence.
